“the most important thing is to enjoy your life - to be happy - it’s all that matters.”
↳ sixteen years young ― reincarnation of hemera
If asked to describe Cyd in three words, the immediate answer would be happy. Cyd’s personality is as ever-bubbly and bright as her hair is ever-changing. She’s the perfect person to cheer you up; everyone who knows Cyd knows that they’ll be leaving with a smile on their face after talking to her. She’s smiley and excitable, and well-loved by all her family and friends. The oldest of three, Cyd knows exactly how to take care of others, and as such, is intuitive with regards to feelings and thoughts. She can read body language like a pro, and her ability to say the right thing at the right time is perhaps the main reason she is so well-respected and admired in her community. She has a natural flair for music, and so she should, seeing as she’s the lead vocalist of one of the country’s hottest up-and-coming young bands. Despite their sudden rise to fame, she manages to keep herself grounded. When coming to Allegory she tries to keep her success a secret, even while she’s sneaking out to go and record a new album. She doesn’t want to be treated any differently to the other students.
However, her cheer also makes her enemies. Cyd’s optimism and enthusiasm for life isn’t everyone’s cup of tea, especially among her older, ‘wiser’ peers. She was never the most popular girl in her school, preferring instead to stay below the radar with a group of close friends whom she reluctantly leaves behind in her home state of Franklin. Cyd isn’t very well versed in the language of love– her first kiss was only a year ago, and she has yet to be in a proper relationship. She doesn’t want to get involved with anyone straight away, but if friendship leads to something more, then she won’t stop it. Coming to Allegory Academy, she looks forward to meeting new people, and experiencing a different way of life from the rather conservative environment of her childhood and the tumultuous world of her music.

“the only real mistake is the one from which we learn nothing.”
↳ seventeen years young ― reincarnation of prometheus
Maximilian, who often goes by Max, is the heir to a multi-million dollar medicinal and medical supply empire. Though, considering a majority of the heirs and heiresses among Allegory Academy’s student population are popular, the same cannot be said for the seventeen year old male. Max is actually considered one of the nerds on campus. With an excellent GPA and a first name basis with the staff members at Allegory, he is the one to call if you’re looking for some homework help. Soft-spoken and shy, he isn’t one to draw attention to himself. Max enjoys to avoiding the spotlight – at all costs. He doesn’t like unnecessary attention would gladly stand back instead of actively participating in anything. He’s a gentleman and doesn’t concern himself with drama. Always the one to put others first, Max plans to become a doctor in the future and will dutifully inherit his father’s empire – without a second thought.
Max has always wanted to help others and he never fails to do just that. Although it seems quite weird for a nerd to stand up to bullies, he has no qualms in doing so. While he would hate the attention an unnecessary confrontation would bring him, he is always willing to stand up for the little guy. He’s got a hero complex and doesn’t like it when the little guy gets picked on. Loyal and sweet,
Max can be a little awkward when it comes to the opposite sex. You see, the boy has always been dubbed as “the best friend” – that one boy a girl goes to when she needs advice or someone who’ll listen. He’s never had anyone consider him more than a friend and he’s really growing tired of that – especially when it comes from Ellie. Max has known Ellie since they were little. Best friends: Max has always been Ellie’s shoulder to cry on and rock. However, as their Junior year at Allegory began to approach, he’s started seeing her in a different light. He’s beginning to develop romantic feelings toward her and is hoping to muster up the courage to tell her.

“youth is not enough. and love is not enough. and success is not enough. and, if we could achieve it, enough would not be enough. ”
↳ seventeen years young ― reincarnation of empusa
Some say that Caroline suffers from multiple personality disorder — that or an extreme case of bipolar. With a flick of her fiery hair, Caroline would pull you into her vortex of amusement and pleasure, but as soon as she gets what she wants, she tosses you away and will never acknowledge you again. That is, until you least expect it.
Caroline keeps tabs on everyone she’s been involved with — everyone she’s kissed, everyone she’s touched, everyone she’s slept with — and once she feels that enough time has passed she will use what the two of them did together as a way to make their lives hell. Caroline is incredibly manipulative, and she will act as though the person used her when in fact it was she who used them for her own pleasure.

“life is an experiment. the more experiments you make the better. ”
↳ fifteen years young ― reincarnation of nephelae
Eva Ross is a dreamer down to her very last fingertip. A firm believer in witchcraft, ghosts and the spirits of the netherworld, her motto is that anything is possible if you want it badly enough. She’s never afraid to hope for better, and even in the darkest of times she strives to remain positive. Eva can often be found with a sketchpad; she is happiest with a pencil in her hand, and she has no shortage of subjects as a part of the expansive Ross family. Her talent is evident in the numerous sketches lining the family home, and the small but treasured collection of awards that take pride of place in her bedroom.
The little sister to one of the school’s most popular students, Eva has family connections not to be laughed at. In true Ross style, she will defend her blood to the death, and they would do the same for her. Fittingly, the person she’s closest to is her cousin, a certain Kaziah Ross. The two are as thick as thieves, and are usually spotted waltzing around the grounds of Allegory - Eva’s love of the outdoors is huge, to the point where she attempted to convince the headmistress to place her dorm room in a tree. Needless to say, it wasn’t to be. Despite this, Eva still spends every waking hour outside; come rain or shine, she’ll be out there putting pencil to paper and capturing life as she sees it, more often than not accompanied by Kaziah.
Inseparable since childhood, days playing in the sandpit have evolved into days lazing under the sun. Eva’s deep love for her best friend is evident; little over a hundred sketches and drawings are solely given over to Kaziah. Woe betide anyone who lays so much as a finger upon Kaziah, because they’ll find it chopped off. Eva is intensely protective, and can sometimes come off as quite overbearing when around people she cares about, a startling contrast to her usual easygoing way of life.
Eva’s grades are anything but stellar - the doodles and drawings abounding over her essays are too many to count. Her teachers despair of her, but Eva has never wanted to do anything but draw. Her intelligence can’t be measured by exams and scores.
She’s a generally carefree girl; she doesn’t work herself up over many things, and can keep a calm head. Presenting a kind, listening ear to anyone who needs it, Eva is still perfectly at home filling an awkward conversation with comforting chatter. Alongside drawing, she entertains a passion for photography, but her true calling will always be found in the scratching of a pencil on paper.

♕ hana kwon
“fantasy is the only canvas large enough for me to paint on.”
↳ fifteen years young ― reincarnation of euterpe
Hana has never been one to speak her mind, preferring to keep the peace at whatever cost to her own opinions. She is a sweet girl who finds solace in writing her innermost thoughts down in a journal and watching reruns of Doctor Who on a Saturday morning. Often losing herself in her writing, she is never apart from her pencil and pad for more than a couple of hours, and is seen either with her nose in a book or in her current notebook (thirty-fifth, and counting).
An avid fan of the supernatural and fantasy worlds, Hana is an unlikely sci-fi geek, with her schoolgirl appearance and gentle personality. Star Trek, Doctor Who, Buffy, Farscape - if it involves planets out there with blue suns and pointy toothed-residents, you can bet that Hana has the boxed set. Despite having a great love for her own world, she can’t resist escaping to alien times and places.
Hana isn’t known for her good luck with members of the opposite sex. Her eagerness to please can make her seem overenthusiastic and clingy, and this drives potential boyfriends away as if she had the plague. Hana still holds out for the one, true love to conquer all others - if years of studying science fiction has taught her anything, it’s that there will always be one person out there who completes her, and it is this hope that she clings on to. She firmly believes that one day there will be a boy who appreciates her for everything she is.
Despite this faith, her lack of romantic interests still causes insecurities. Hana is a little insecure about her looks, although she would never do anything to change them. Any remark about weight or appearance can cause her to lapse into silence, and so most often steer away from these topics of conversation with her.
